MR7 opens exhibition to mark VPA’s 80th founding anniversary
PANO - The Department of Political Affairs of Military Region 7 (MR7) kicked off an exhibition on December 10 in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people Defense Festive Day.
On display at the exhibition are nearly 400 photos, display items, and documents divided into four parts, namely the VPA in the General Uprising to seize power and the resistance war against the French colonialists; the VPA in the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists; the VPA in the fight to protect national borders and fulfill international duties; and the VPA in the cause of building a strong whole-people defense posture to meet the requirements of national protection and MR7’s armed forces, a bright spot of the whole military in building a whole-people defense posture to safeguard the Fatherland in the new situation.

The exhibition aims to disseminate the VPA’s glorious traditions to officers, soldiers and people, while introducing policies as well as effective and creative models of MR7’s armed forces, making important contribution to the stability and development of the military region.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Political Chief of MR7, underlined that the exhibition aims to raise national pride and patriotism among troops of MR7’s armed forces and people, particularly young people, and heighten their responsibility to further uphold revolutionary traditions and make contribution to the country’s construction and development.

Meanwhile, the event contributed to building a strong whole-people defense, protecting the Fatherland, and leading the country into a new era - an era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise.
The exhibition will last until the end of December.
