During the visit, Senior Colonel Pham Khac Luong, NR 2’s Commander briefed the delegation on major results of the Naval Region’s task performance of protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands. Particularly, the Naval Region 2 held numerous activities to disseminate information to locals, built four gratitude houses for policy families, and offered gifts to national contributors during national anniversaries, contributing to enhancing military-civilian relations.


Speaking at the event, Vo Van Thuong, hailed achievements of the unit’s troops and urged them to increasingly enhance training quality and combat readiness, master modern weapons and equipment, and collaborate with relevant forces to firmly protect the national sovereignty over seas and islands under any situations. In addition, he hoped that the Naval Region would continue to well perform mass mobilization and take care of troops' material and spiritual lives.

On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year Festival), Mr. Thuong offered gifts to the Naval Region 2 Command, and at the same time he visited and encouraged troops of Ships 379 and 383 of Brigade 167 as well as planted trees at the Naval Region’s headquarters.

* The same day, the Party official visited and presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and needy household in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.
