The contest is expected to receive more initiatives to protect national maritime sovereignty.

Accordingly, all Vietnamese students or groups of students studying in universities and colleges either at home or abroad are eligible to participate in the contest. Contestants are encouraged to contribute creative and feasible ideas, models and initiatives to firmly protect sovereignty, promote sea- and island-related socio-economic development, and strengthen educational, medical, cultural, and tourism activities in outpost islands. Organizers also expect to receive solutions to existing issues related to marine environmental protection and natural disaster response.

Entries should be sent to the Vietnamese Student Development and Support Center at No.64, Ba Trieu street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

There will be one first, one second, one third, and three consolation prizes for outstanding participants. Initiatives with high feasibility will receive an investment of VND 50 million to be carried out during the “Green Summer” Campaign. Winning individuals and groups will have an opportunity to participate in a program on seas and islands to be hosted by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Students' Association.
