In 2024, Ha Nam was for the first time listed in the Leading Regional Cultural Destinations at the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) for the Asia and Oceania region. It was no coincidence that the province was honored by such an award which is often dubbed the Oscar of the travel industry.

Founder and President of the WTA Graham Cooke once highly hailed the province’s values of culture, history, and tourism. He believed that with its on-going sound tourism strategy, Ha Nam would become an emerging tourism destination.
