* At the gift presentation ceremony in the Thuy Van Industrial Zone in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho province, Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh praised the province’s efforts in taking care of workers’ lives and asked the provincial leadership to work closely with businesses to further create favorable conditions for workers to improve their living standards. Earlier, Binh and the province’s leaders visited and presented gifts to needy workers who are living in a hostel in the Thuy Van resettlement area.
* The same day, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization, Truong Thi Mai attended a Tet program for workers at the North Thang Long Industrial Zone in Dong Anh district, Hanoi. At the event, workers received Tet gifts and tickets from the Party, State and municipal leaders, while several businesses were presented with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s insignia in acknowledgement of their contributions to the improvement of workers’ living standards.
* President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man handed over a house to Huynh Thanh Tu, a needy local in Thanh Loc commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho city and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor people in the Vinh Thanh and Tra Noc Industrial Zones.
* Visiting people in Son Dong and Luc Ngan districts, Bac Giang province, a mission from Military Region 1 presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, needy people and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the province, wished them a happy New Year and urged them to promote revolutionary traditions to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, making contributions to building a prosperous locality. On the occasion, the mission enquired after and presented gifts the staff and patients at local convalescent centers for wounded and sick soldiers in Bac Giang province’s Lang Giang and Tan Yen and Bac Ninh’s Thuan Thanh district.
* Army Corps 3’s mission has conducted social activities in the localities where it is stationed. They inquired after and presented gifts to Ms. Ha Thi Chien, a fallen soldier’s mother, and policy beneficiaries in Phu Dong ward, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.
* On February 3, Thai Nguyen provincial Confederation of Labor held a program to sell discounted products to workers in Song Cong city, Thai Nguyen province and presented gifts and Tet tickets to workers, needy local people and needy students with good academic results.
