The program is part of DMF’s educational support plan, with a total budget of more than VND 1.1 billion. The funding was allocated to synchronized investments in both infrastructure and essential equipment aimed at improving learning and living conditions for students in mountainous areas.

The newly-constructed facilities consist of two classrooms for Khun Hamlet Primary School and one catering area for Khun Hamlet Kindergarten. In addition, the foundation provided learning and daily-use equipment, such as student desks and chairs, televisions, and cooking appliances, directly benefiting 163 students, most of whom are children from ethnic minority communities in Bang Lang.

Bang Lang is one of the most remote and disadvantaged communes in Tuyen Quang province, especially after the floods in late 2025. During an on-site survey, the delegation found that many school facilities had seriously deteriorated. Most structures had been built in rudimentary conditions, while desks and chairs were old and damaged, making them unsuitable for long-term use. In particular, boarding students and teachers had no proper beds and had to sleep on makeshift foam mats, affecting minimum living standards, especially during cold and rainy days.

In addition, DMF also donated equipment, including hot-and-cold water dispensers, mesh beds, televisions, gas stoves, desks and chairs, physical development toys, and teaching tools to 12 kindergarten satellite campuses in Tung Vai, including seven sites in Ta Van and five in Cao Ma Po. The support has directly improved study and semi-boarding conditions for 723 ethnic minority students.

Truong Cam Thanh, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of the Dream Maker Foundation, said that in mountainous areas, there are many reasons why teachers and students struggle to remain committed to schools and classrooms, ranging from long and difficult travel routes to severe shortages and harsh living conditions. Therefore, the foundation’s goal is not simply to build. They want to provide comprehensive support, from learning to daily life, ensuring that every item, from classrooms and kitchens to a student desk, is durable and practical enough to help teachers and students stay with their schools.
