Red Journey 2022 comes to Vinh Phuc
PANO - The Red Journey 2022 program was launched in Vinh Phuc province on July 3, attracting the participation of more than 2,000 locals.
That was the sixth time such a humanitarian blood donation program was held in Vinh Phuc province. Last year, the province collected more than 13,000 blood units, meeting 102 percent of the set plan.

Addressing the program, Permanent Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc provincial People's Committee Vu Viet Van affirmed that in recent years, the Red Journey program has become a major communication campaign with many practical activities, promoting blood donation, raising awareness of hemolytic diseases and prevention in the community.
According to Chairman Van, the program has not only mobilized and received blood from volunteers to ease the shortage of blood at medical facilities, but also carried the meaning and social responsibility of each person.

After the opening ceremony of the program, all participants from local units, enterprises, and armed forces donated their blood to help patients.
The two-day event with the message of “Connecting Vietnamese blood” is hoped to receive 1,000 to 1,200 blood units.

This year, the Red Journey 2022 program takes place in 46 provinces and cities nationwide and is expected to receive some 120,000 units of blood and draw the participation of people from all walks of life.
