PANO - The Sakura Montessori International School on December 19th hosted a charity program for poor children in Hanoi.

The painting “Beloved Vietnam” made of egg-shell pieces, seeds and wool being sold at VND 18 million

In this program, some paintings, drawn by the school’s kids, featuring the One Pillar Pagoda, sunflowers, peacocks, beloved Vietnam and made of popular materials as seeds, buttons, egg shells and wool, were auctioned. Other handmade products, including flower vases, wind chime, and bracelet, were also sold.

The organizer collected nearly VND 60 million from the auction to be presented to kids at the Centre for Orphaned and Malnourished Kids in Phu My village, My Dinh ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi.

According to Le Mai Hanh, director of the school, this charity program, named “Making the winter warmer”, was to partly ease difficulties for kids in cold weather.
