Addressing the event, journalist Ho Quang Loi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association held that the festival is a cultural activity to help enrich press activities as well as popularize press products to readers.

The 2018 National Press Festival will draw the participation of 55 media and press agencies across the country.

The exhibition will be divided into four sections, featuring outstanding publications in 2017 of central and local press agencies. In addition, the organizers also display photos featuring press training activities, and equipment and techniques for press publication.

Besides, a series of programs will be also held during the festival, such as artistic performances, photo exhibitions, a workshop titled “Journalist Tran Cong Man and the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press,” a meeting for news organizations, State-run press and media agencies, and so on.
