More care for national contributors
PANO – Various activities to pay gratitude to national contributors have been held across the country on the occasion of the 70th Day of the Vietnam Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs.
Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and Politburo member Truong Thi Mai, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilization on July 5 visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Hai Phong city.

Inquiring after wounded soldier Vu Van Ngu and Chu Thi Duc, mother of a martyr, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh wished them good health and happiness and hoped that they would further contribute to the city’s construction and development.
Visiting wounded soldiers Nguyen Quy Lan and Nguyen Huu Luu, Ms. Truong Thi Mai expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of the Vietnamese wounded soldiers to the national salvation and protection cause and hoped they would promote the noble virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and set bright examples for young generations to follow.
The same day, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh received a delegation of national contributors from Thai Binh province on their visit to Hanoi.
Talking with the delegates, Ms. Thinh affirmed that Thai Binh is a locality rich in patriotic tradition and indomitable in the resistance war against foreign invaders. It was one of the provinces that greatly contributed to the revolution. She asked the provincial leadership to take more care of Vietnamese heroic mothers and continue carrying out policies for national contributors.
At a reception for national contributors from Thai Binh and Tra Vinh provinces, the head of the Department of Policy under the General Department of Politics said that the Vietnam People's Army has always borne in mind the contributions of leaders and people of the two provinces. He also took the occasion to brief the delegation on gratitude activities of military units over the past time. Accordingly, units in the whole army launched emulation movements and programs to build houses for and assist wounded and sick soldiers.
Central Military Hospital 108 handed over gratitude houses, provided free health check-ups and medicines, and presented gifts to national contributors in Hanoi and Thai Nguyen province. The military hospital’s medical missions also provided them with methods to prevent and treat conventional diseases.
