 Doctors from Military Central Hospital 108 checking health of national contributors

According to the Ministry of National Defense’s organizing board for the celebration of the 70th Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs, all military units have been conducting gratitude activities, and part of the concrete results was around 1,700 gratitude houses constructed. In response to the day, military agencies and units have also launched movements of collecting war artifacts, poster and panel design contests, exhibitions on photo books about wounded soldiers and martyrs, and artistic performances to entertain the wounded and sick soldiers and national contributors. 

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has announced that it will work with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Nhan dan (People) Newspaper, the Central Committee of Emulation and Commendation, and Hanoi municipal People’s Committee to host a ceremony in honor of 700 Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of people’s armed forces, veterans, wounded and sick soldiers, and martyrs’ families across the country. The event aims to acknowledge their great contributions to the Vietnamese resistance wars for national independence. At the ceremony, the Prime Minister will present certificates of merits to 70 delegates, while the Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs presents certificates of merits to 670 others.

Recently, Agencies of the General Department of Politics have cooperated with Military Central Hospital 108 and Gia Lam district’s Military Command of the Hanoi Capital Military Command to provide free health check-ups and medicines to around 300 policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors, and martyrs’ relatives in Da Ton commune.

In the coming time, the agencies will hand over houses to needy policy beneficiaries, present 200 gifts to others in Hanoi, offer incense in commemoration of fallen soldiers, and present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers in Quang Tri province.

Similarly, Coffee One Member Company Ltd. 15 of the Military Region 5 has sent its medical staff to offer free health check-ups and medicines to 1,250 policy beneficiaries and needy ethnic minority residents in Ea Sin commune of Krong Buc district and Cu Dlie M’nong and Ea Tar communes of Cu M’gar district, Dak Lak province and Quang Son commune of Dak Nong province.
