Over the past 10 years, the country has donated about VND 3.5 trillion to “Gratitude” funds; built nearly 90,000 gratitude houses and repairing nearly 75,000 houses for policy beneficiaries at a cost of nearly VND 12.2 trillion; and presented nearly 159,000 savings books worth nearly VND 955 trillion to policy beneficiaries.

* A delegation of the Political Officer Training College has just concluded a journey to the “red addresses” in the area of Military Region 4. The delegation carried out a number of gratitude activities such as offering incense to President Ho Chí Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap; and heroes and martyrs at the Dong Loc Junction National Historical Monument, the Truong Son National Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery; organizing exchanges, and presenting two savings books to policy families, 15 bicycles, worth VND 45 million, to poor students with good academic records in Cam Tuyen commune (Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province).
* The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Tan Thinh commune (Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province) held a ceremony to award State Certificates of Merit for the families of two martyrs: Tong Van Khoat, born in 1920 in Nam Loi commune (Nam Truc district), enlisted in 1947, died in 1948, and Tran Huy Tiem, born in 1929 in Nam Hoa commune (Nam Truc district), enlisted in 1947, died in 1950.
At the ceremony, authorized by the State President and the Prime Minister, the Nam Dinh provincial Military Command awarded the State Certificates of Merit to families of the two martyrs. The remains of two martyrs were buried at Nam Tan War Cemetery, Tan Thinh commune.
* The Ha Nam provincial Military Command, in association with the Ha Nam branch of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) provided free health checkups and medicines (worth VND 100,000 each) for 200 policy families; and presenting 10 gifts (worth VND 500,000 each) to disadvantaged households in Thanh Huong commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province.
