Military Hospital 103 and Duong Noi ward actively participate in voluntary blood donation
PANO - Military Hospital 103 of the Vietnam Military Medical University collaborated with the People’s Committee of Duong Noi ward, Hanoi, to organize a voluntary blood donation event, titled “Sharing Drops of Love,” on September 18.
The program encouraged officers, staff, soldiers, and local residents to participate in this humanitarian activity.
To have a successful blood donation event, the hospital, together with the ward’s People’s Committee, had carried out extensive awareness campaigns. They called on every officer, staff member, soldier, and citizen to uphold the tradition of “loving others as oneself” and embrace the spirit of “a drop of blood donated, a life saved.”

This initiative was one of several meaningful activities organized to celebrate the congresses of mass organizations (youth, women, and trade unions), to mark the Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20, and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of foundation day of Military Hospital 103.
Participating in the event, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Dung, Assistant at the Political Division of the hospital, said that as an officer of Military Hospital 103, he is always aware that donating blood to save lives is a noble act of deep humanity. As a soldier bearing the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, he wanted to take part in blood donations many times to contribute his part to treating and saving more patients.
The blood donation event attracted more than 500 participants and 480 healthy blood units were collected to serve emergency care and treatment for patients.
