Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, directed the exercise.

The exercise mobilized nearly 4,000 officers and soldiers from units under the MPS, local police forces, and other relevant agencies, along with a wide range of vehicles, equipment, weapons, supporting tools, and specialized vehicles.

According to the plan, the exercise focused on two main scenarios: addressing large crowds causing public security and order disturbances and riots; and apprehending terrorists, rescuing hostages from high-rise buildings, handling explosives, conducting firefighting operations, and carrying out search and rescue missions.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham The Tung emphasized that the Central Highlands is a particularly important strategic region, holding a vital position in defense, security, external affairs, and socio-economic development. Maintaining stability in the region is crucial to regional and national stability, contributing to the early and proactive protection of national security, territorial sovereignty, and a peaceful and stable environment for national development.

According to the organizing panel, the exercise was carefully prepared, meeting practical operational requirements. All participating forces strictly adhered to the approved plans, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and discipline while ensuring the safety of personnel, weapons, equipment, vehicles, and all operational activities.

The exercise helped enhance leadership, command, and operational management capabilities, as well as the organizational, coordination, and joint operational skills and combat readiness of the participating forces. It also served to assess the ability to mobilize, deploy, and utilize forces and equipment in responding to complex public security and order situations.
