The activities aim to celebrate the President Ho Chi Minh’s 132nd birthday (May 19, 1890) and mark 111 years since he left the country to find a way to salvage the nation (June 5, 1911).
The activities will be held at the city’s Book Street with the image simulating the Amiral Latouche Tréville, the ship which took the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh (President Ho Chi Minh) leaving Nha Rong port in 1911 to make a great journey to salvage the country and liberate the nation.
Exchanges, discussions, and exhibitions introducing works about Uncle Ho, and other meaningful programs are also expected to take place at the city’s Book Street.

In particular, an exhibition themed “Ho Chi Minh - A journey of the time” with 100 documents and images is divided into two parts, namely “Finding the way to salvage the country and liberate the nation” and “Factors to determine the victory of national liberation.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tu Luong, Deputy Director of the HCMC Department of Information and Communications, emphasized that through useful and meaningful activities, people can visit and enjoy the works, documents and images depicting the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, learn about his path to national salvation.
He also added that the event contributes to educating people of patriotism, whole-people solidarity and creativity; affirming the responsibility of the entire Party, people,and military to realize the revolutionary and development path of the Vietnamese nation that the Party and Uncle Ho have chosen.
