Difficulties in transporting essential supplies to people in flood-hit areas
PANO - After many days of isolation, the amount of goods and essential supplies received by local authorities from organizations and benefactors to be transported to gathering points in Nhon Mai commune, Nghe An province has been increasing.
People from different villages are coming to receive them to ensure basic living conditions for their families.
Severely affected by the flood, many families in Nhon Mai commune have been left with nothing, and their food supplies have been exhausted. Local authorities and many forces have set up distribution points for donations from organizations and benefactors in Hoa Ly village, My Ly commune, and then transported them to accessible areas in the commune for local people to come and collect.
Amidst many difficulties, receiving essential supplies is a great joy for people in need. However, the journey to bring food, necessities, and household items home to care for their families in the flood-stricken areas is filled with countless challenges and hardships. It can take three to four hours and villagers have to pass through many landslides, fallen trees, and deep streams, etc.
