Preliminary reports show that 3 people have died, 2 are missing and 4 others have been injured. The flood has isolated and caused a complete power outage in 17 communes.  661 houses were swept away, collapsed, or had their roofs ripped off. Nearly 100 flooding and landslide sites have occurred along National Highway 7A.

In response, the Command of Military Region 4 has mobilized  nearly 10,000 troops and militia and self-defense force personnel to assist local residents in overcoming the disaster’s consequences.
