On January 18, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Party Committee's Commission for Information and Education, visited and presented 200 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at Long Giang Industrial Zone, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province.

He extended Tet wishes of health and happiness to the workers and urged local authorities to continue improving care for national contributors, needy families, and workers facing difficulties.

On the same day, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra led a delegation to visit and deliver 3,200 Tet gifts to policy families, impoverished households, struggling workers and those affected by Storm No.3 (Typhoon Yagi) in Van Yen and Tran Yen Districts, Yen Bai Province.

In Ca Mau Province, Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and extended Tet greetings to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Khanh, heroes of the People’s Armed Force and distributed 500 Tet gifts to poor households and 200 gifts to disadvantaged children in the province. She called on local authorities to continue ensuring a joyful Tet for all citizens.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the armed forces of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with local authorities, organized Tet programs in the five suburban districts of Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Nha Be, and Can Gio. Over 1,800 Tet gifts were distributed to policy families, and officers and soldiers facing hardships.

In Binh Thuan Province, the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Red Cross co-held a Tet program in Tuy Phong District. Over 600 policy families and needy households received clothes, food, and Tet gifts.

In Da Nang City, the Border Guard Post of Da Nang Port, in cooperation with the authorities of Thanh Binh and Thuan Phuoc Wards, hosted the border spring program and the opening of the 2025 Vietnamese Goods Market. A total of 900 gifts, worth VND 330 million, were distributed to poor households and patients in local hospitals. The Border Guard Post of Da Nang Port also presented two savings books, 27 Tet gifts, and 50 pairs of Chung (square sticky rice) cakes to disadvantaged families and students.

The Coast Guard Region 2 Command, in collaboration with local mass mobilization commissions in Quang Tri Province and Hue city, organized the "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" and "Island Tet" program to present 120 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to policy families in the localities.

In Ia Peng Commune, Phu Thien District, Gia Lai Province, the Naval Academy, in collaboration with local authorities, inaugurated and handed over a "comradeship house" to the family of non-commissioned officer Senior Lieutenant Duong Van Tien, a crew-member of Ship 936 of the academy’s Center for Practical Training and Crew Training. The 80 sq.m house, constructed with VND 80 million from the school’s "For the Poor" Fund, was completed in two months.

These activities reflect the commitment of Party and State leaders, armed forces, and local authorities to ensuring a meaningful Tet for all, particularly the national contributors, policy families, and needy people.
