Also on January 19, another delegation, led by Vice N.A. Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai handed over 450 gift packages to needy people and workers in Chau Thanh district and VND 200 million to the province’s “For the poor” fund. Delegates visited and extended New Year greetings to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Hai and wounded soldier Tran Thi Nga in Chau Hoa commune, Giong Trom district.
* In response to the movement on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the Labor Federation of Ho Chi Minh City handed over 96 houses to the elderly and needy workers in the city from January 10 to 19.
* In Tra Vinh province, a New Year program for workers was held, during which the organizing panel presented 500 Tet gifts to workers facing hardships. During the event, the organizers handed over six houses to workers in need of housing and awarded 30 scholarships to students whose parents are youth union members and workers.
* Also on January 19, the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command, in collaboration with local agencies and units, organized a Tet program for policy beneficiaries and needy people in Phan Thiet city. During the event, units gave 500 gift packages, including rice, cooking oil, salt, fish sauce, dried fish, seasoning powder, noodles, and cakes, to the recipients.
