PANO – The Steering Board of the National Mine Action Program and the Department of Dissemination and Training of General Department of Politics have recently organised a special class to raise the awareness of the consequences of unexploded ordnances (UXOs) for teachers and 300 pupils at the Secondary School of Quoc Khanh commune, Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province, aiming to help them avoid UXO-related accidents.

The class, instructed by cadres of the Department of Dissemination and Training and the Technology Centre for Bomb and Mine Disposal (BOMICEN), helped teachers and pupils be aware of dangers and impacts of bombs and mines, as well as provided them methods to avoid UXO-related accidents.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Son of BOMICEN said that along with detecting and clearing UXOs, the centre has over the past time organised such classes to help local people and pupils realize the consequences of post-war bombs and mines.
