Looking back on the past journey, especially the term of the 13th National Party Congress, we are even more confident in the chosen path. Overcoming numerous difficulties and challenges, our country has maintained political and social stability; ensured national defense and security; achieved economic recovery and development; gradually improved people’s livelihoods; expanded foreign relations; and increasingly enhanced its international standing. These achievements have further affirmed the sound leadership of the Party and the strength of the great national unity bloc, where the Party’s will is harmonized with the people’s aspirations.
From this foundation, the country enters a new phase of development with higher requirements and heavier tasks. As opportunities and challenges intertwine, the nation faces a number of difficulties and trials. Reality demands a sound strategic vision, strong political determination, and unified, forceful, timely, and effective action. The 14th Party Congress bears a historic responsibility to discuss and adopt important documents, set the development vision, and elect the 14th Central Committee of the Party. The congress’s strategic decisions are the mandate of reality, the call of history, and the legitimate aspirations of the people; they will create development momentum, unlock resources, and guide Vietnam to move forward steadily.
The confidence and expectations of people nationwide are converging. The people believe that the congress will put forward sound and scientific guidelines and solutions; select the leadership with sufficient virtue, talent, dedication, and vision; and continue to strongly ignite patriotism, the spirit of self-reliance and resilience, and the aspiration to contribute, creating a combined strength to propel the country forward.
The Vietnam People’s Army is the military of the people, by the people, and for the people, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people. The entire force is upholding its heroic traditions, promoting emulation to enhance overall quality and combat strength, and building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military.
With a mettle forged through trials, with the collective wisdom of the entire Party, and with the unwavering trust of the people, the 14th Party Congress will certainly open a broad path for the nation, a path of confidence, self-reliance, unity, and the aspiration to rise strongly, for a prosperous and happy future of the Vietnamese nation.
