PANO – A smuggler of rare, endangered animals has just been captured by the Environmental Police Force, in coordination with the Hanoi Forest Inspection Sub-Department.
Pham Anh Tuan, born in 1979 and a resident of Ninh Binh Province, was caught red-handed at 1pm on February 18th, while he was attempting to smuggle a box containing frozen tiger skeletons in his 7-seat car into Hanoi.
The total weight of the tiger bones is estimated to be some 75 kg.
The smuggler, the evidence and the vehicle in the case have been taken to a ward police station in Hanoi.
Police said that they are continuing to investigate the case.
