PANO – The Ministry of Planning and Investment was conferred with the Ho Chi Minh Order for the second time, during the celebration of its 70th traditional day (December 31st 1945 - December 31st 2015) in Hanoi.

Under the decree signed by President Ho Chi Minh on December 31st 1945, the Planning and Construction Research Committee, the forerunner of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, was formed. Since its birth, it has had different names at different periods of time, but for 70 years now the sector has always been developing, adapting itself to each period of development of the nation, contributing greatly to the success of the implementation of missions and strategies of the Party and State.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan stressed the important role and position of the sector in helping the Party and State to outline the strategies of the county in its national defence and economic development, meeting all the requirements of the missions set by Party, State and Government.

For its significant contributions, the sector has been conferred with various honourable orders and titles, including the Ho Chi Minh Order this time. On behalf of the Party, State leaders, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented the order to the Ministry of Planning and Investment at the ceremony.
