The People’s Committee of Hanoi has assigned to the city’s Department of Transportation the plan on the development of public bus transport through 2020 to be completed within the third quarter of this year.

Under the plan, the city’s Department of Transportation must conduct social surveys to evaluate and forecast domestic demands for public transport and then set up a plan to development and implement the project. The results of the study will be released next year.

Accordingly, the plan will focus on the rearrangement of the bus system as well as instituting upgrades on ticket and management models.
