General Phan Van Giang and his delegation visited and extended Tet greetings to former state and Party leaders, including former President Truong Tan Sang, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, former permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh, former Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, and former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan. Gen. Giang inquired after them and reported on the military’s 2025 achievements. The former leaders commended the armed forces' progress and expressed confidence in the goal of building a modern, elite revolutionary military. On this occasion, Gen. Giang presented gifts and wished the leaders and their families a prosperous Lunar New Year.

The delegation also visited the families of Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Director of the GDP, and Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Defense Minister. Gen. Giang offered encouragement and urged the families to uphold their revolutionary traditions, contributing further to local and national development.
