The bomb was detected by a resident in the district’s Dong Hai commune while clearing the ground for aquatic farming.

Deactivating the bomb

At that time, the bomb, with the weight of 112kg, still remained intact. It was then moved to a safe area for deactivation.

Reportedly, since October this year, the provincial Military Command has destroyed three bombs left over from the war.

Earlier, the two other bombs were found in the province’s Cau Ngang district. During the destruction of the bombs, local engineering forces ensured absolute safety.
