Signal Station A69’s fallen troops commemorated
PANO – The Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province, in collaboration with Brigade 134 of the Signal Corps, held a ceremony on July 2 to mark the 50th death anniversary of 13 troops of Signal Station A69 (July 2, 1972 – 2022).

The event was attended by Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, leaders of Quang Binh province and the Signal Corps, and representatives from agencies, localities and families of the fallen soldiers.
At the ceremony, delegates recalled contribution and silent sacrifices of 13 troops of Signal Station A69. 50 years ago, the 13 troops sacrificed at Len Ha cave to ensure the smooth communication, contributing to the victory of the south liberation and national reunification cause.
In acknowledgement of their feats of arm, on April 28, 2009, Signal Station A69 was presented with the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces by the Party and State. On May 7, 2009, Len Ha cave was recognized as National Historical Relic Site.

On the occasion, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, GDP’s Deputy Chief Do Can and leaders of Quang Binh province and the Signal Corps presented gifts to representatives of families of 13 fallen soldiers, four former soldiers of Signal Station A69, representatives of four families with assistance to Signal Station A69, 20 policy households and 10 needy students with good academic results in the locality.
