Ho Chi Minh City Military Command meets with families of Team K74 troops

During the event, the unit’s leaders, local authorities, troops, and their families talked about daily life, work, and the progress of the ongoing mission. The event helped enhance mutual understanding among the unit, local authorities, and the families, thereby promoting understanding and coordination between the unit, local authorities and the team’s relatives so that the troops would successfully accomplish their assigned tasks.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, affirmed that the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains goes beyond a deeply political and humanitarian mission it is an “order from the heart” of the city’s armed forces to honor the fallen soldiers.

He highly valued the perseverance, meticulousness, and responsibility of Team K74 and the coordinating forces, while expressing deep gratitude to their families for their constant support. To ensure the troops remain focused on their duties, Senior Colonel Chuan requested that chains-of-command at all levels regularly grasp the troops’ thoughts, effectively implement policies for the military rear, and promptly resolve their difficulties.

On this occasion, the municipal military command presented certificates of merit to five collectives and 84 individuals for their outstanding achievements in coordinating, ensuring, and executing the mission at Le Thi Rieng Park. In addition to presenting gifts to the troops’ families, the organizing panel announced rank promotion decisions for 13 soldiers of Team K74.
