Giving support to the tasks undertaking missions in Cambodia

As scheduled, in this second phase which ends on June 30, the two teams will continue to search and gather sets of remains of fallen Vietnamese troops in five Cambodian province.

Assigning tasks to the search and collection teams, Senior Colonel Do Thanh Viet, Deputy Political Commissar of the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command and head of the provincial Steering Board 515 hailed the team members for their high sense of spirit and responsibility in preparing forces and material to perform the task.

He asked them to be fully aware of their duties which show the national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” and “gratitude-paying” for those who sacrificed their lives for the national salvation cause and glorious international missions.

He requested them to work closely with local authorities, protection forces of the host country, pro-actively disseminate information in diverse forms to get more information about martyrs’ graves from Cambodian organizations and people.

While ensuring safety of personnel and equipment, the teams should promote solidarity, observe the host’s law, customs, regulations, do mass mobilization, provide health check-ups and medicines for locals, he urged.

The command’s leader also asked them to realize regulations on search for martyrs' remains, diagrams-drawing, biological samples-taking, and preservation of martyrs' remains in a thoughtful and respectful manner.
