Requiem held for martyrs at Vi Xuyen National War Cemetery
PANO – The Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Khanh Hoa province and Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee, held a requiem to commemorate fallen soldiers, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947).
The event was attended by former State President Truong Tan Sang.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son expressed his deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers’ families, wounded soldiers, monks, nuns, and Buddhists of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Giang province.
Over the past time, the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee and authorities have paid due attention to the families of wounded and fallen soldiers and national contributors, as well as organized many meaningful activities such as building gratitude houses, taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers and wounded soldiers. The practical activities have contributed to educating the youths about the history and encouraging them to try their best to uphold the heroic traditions of the nation.

The requiem was held in commemoration to fallen soldiers who laid down their lives during national resistance wars. This was also an occasion for young generations to implement national beautiful tradition to pay tribute to fallen soldiers as well as to raise their patriotism in the current context.
