The event was attended by former State President Truong Tan Sang, Secretary of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Dang Quoc Khanh, Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang and other high-ranking officials sent flowers in tribute to the martyrs.

Reportedly, after an extended period of searching, the Ha Giang provincial Military Command’s search team gathered the remains of eight unknown martyrs in the village of Giang Nam in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district.

At the ceremony, the delegates offered incense and flowers, and expressed their deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers for devoting their whole lives for the cause of national independence and freedom.
