The delegation held meetings with the Quang Tri provincial Military Command and conducted field surveys at the Truong Son National War Cemetery and other war cemeteries in the province.
In recent years, with support from the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense, Quang Tri province has actively maintained and enhanced the construction, refurbishment, and care of war cemeteries and memorials dedicated to fallen soldiers. This has created favorable conditions for citizens and martyrs’ families across the nation to offer incense and pay tribute to fallen soldiers.

Currently, the province is home to 55,529 graves of fallen soldiers resting in 72 cemeteries. Efforts are ongoing to locate more than 50,000 soldiers who have been declared dead but have not yet been found. Since 2011, the province has allocated VND 437.6 billion to the construction and refurbishment of war cemeteries and memorials.
Based on the survey of facilities requiring restoration, the delegation will compile and propose further support from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to upgrade and renovate these war cemeteries. This initiative aims to honor the sacrifices of heroic martyrs who fought for the national independence, freedom, and the people's happiness.
