Officers and soldiers of Team K90 conducting search operations for martyrs’ remains

Specifically, three sets of remains were repatriated in Phong Dien commune, Can Tho City, while 23 sets were collected in Luong Hoa commune, Vinh Long province.

At the beginning of the 2025–2026 dry season, Team K90 of the Political Department of Military Region 9 concentrated its personnel and resources on surveying and recovering martyrs’ remains in Luong Hoa commune in Vinh Long province, as well as Truong Long and Phong Dien communes (Can Tho City), sites of fierce battles during the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists.

Despite challenging weather conditions and difficult terrain, the officers and soldiers of Team K90 worked with determination, overcoming hardships to fulfill their assigned tasks.

Colonel Le Phu Huy said that on behalf of Team K90’s leadership, he commended and highly appreciated the efforts and dedication of all officers and soldiers.

“In the time ahead, each member must continue to uphold determination, overcome difficulties, and successfully complete all missions. Unit leaders should also pay close attention to ensuring the material and spiritual well-being of the troops, strengthen mass mobilization efforts, and maintain close bonds with local authorities and residents in both the stationed areas and the mission sites,” Huy said.
