Huge bomb safely disposed of
PANO - The engineering force of the Hanoi Capital Command and the Military Command of Long Bien district collected and safely disposed of a huge war-left bomb in Bo De ward, Long Bien district on the evening of September 28.

Earlier, while going fishing on the banks of the Red River, local fishermen discovered strange objects suspected to be war-left bombs and mines. They reported the case to the Military Command of Long Bien district.
Immediately, the command worked closely with the local Party committee and authorities to blockade the scene and task the local militia force to guard it. After that, they teamed with the engineering force of the Hanoi Capital Command to collect the bomb.
The bomb, weighing nearly 340kg, was then moved to the National Shooting Range Region 1 for disposal. During the process of collecting and disposing of the bomb, the participants ensured safety of people and equipment.
