A huge bomb successfully moved to safer place for detonation
PANO – Military engineers of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command and Uong Bi district Military Command successfully deactivated and removed a huge bomb to a safer place for detonation on April 2.
The 230kg bomb, 30cm in diameter and 150cm in length, was found at 9 a.m. by Le Khanh Tung while he was digging up the ground for the construction of a dyke in Quang Trung ward, Uong Bi district.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Dinh Hung, Commander of the Uong Bi district Military Command, upon receiving the information, the command sent its troops in coordination with relevant forces to blockade the location and evacuate locals to a safer place.
At 1:30p.m the same day, engineers of the provincial Military Command deactivated and removed the bomb to a safer place for detonation.
