Alongside this, World Oceans Day, themed “Wonderful Ocean: Preserving Humanity's Lifeline,” sends a message that inspires and calls for joint responsibility to protect the oceans. It promotes coordinated action among nations and organizations to safeguard marine ecosystems for all humanity, especially amid serious challenges posed by climate change and human impacts.
According to Senior Captain Nguyen Van Ton, Deputy Political Chief of the Vietnam Naval Academy, recent days have seen enthusiastic participation by departments, faculties, and units across the Vietnam Naval Academy in cleaning up Bach Dang Park and beach areas; collecting, transporting, and disposing of plastic and other waste at garrisons, along the coast, and around piers; improving green, clean, and beautiful landscapes; and organizing environmental-themed competitions.
