Together with handing over breeding cows and goats to needy families, the Department of Logistics also directed troops of Logistics Base 1 stationed in the commune to coordinate with local authorities and donated working days and construction materials to build livestock barns.
Meanwhile, Logistics Base 1 mobilized its troops to instruct the receivers on husbandry techniques and common disease prevention and control, as well as provide them with information related to basic techniques in selecting and taking care of seedlings, among others.
According to Ngan Thi Hong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district, Nghe An province, over the past years, the officers and soldiers of Logistics Base 1 stationed in the district have carried out a number of practical activities to promote local socio-economic development, including helping local authorities build a new-style rural area and prevent and surmount natural disaster aftermaths, organizing training courses to provide local people with knowledge about cultivation and animal husbandry, offering seedlings and breeding animals to locals, and disseminating information about the Party’s guideline and policy and the State’s law, to name but a few.
Senior Colonel Vuong Kim Hai, Political Commissar of the Department of Logistics of Military Region 4, said that these activities are under the project on raising the quality and efficiency of mass mobilization work of Military Region 4 in specific areas in the 2023-2030 period and following years, in the hope that these activities would contribute to helping local people escape poverty.
