Reportedly, 2.16ha of fields was damaged at the rate of over 70% and 64ha under 30%, mostly in the villages of Mat, Lieng, Na Chom, and Pa Khoang. The natural disaster has also made ponds flooded and caused landslides in many areas.

Against this backdrop, Muong Leo Border Post under the Son La provincial Border Guard Command has sent troops, in coordination with local authorities, to help Muong Leo commune overcome consequences.
