From early morning, hundreds of local people flocked to the medical station of Quang Thai commune to receive free medical examination, medicines and gifts.

Heroic Vietnamese mother Pham Thi Hu, born in 1932, expressed her delight at the wholehearted care of the medical staff of the hospital. She was also excited to receive free gifts from the delegation.

Reportedly, in Quang Thai commune there are more than 1,470 households with more than 6,800 people, of whom 600 are national contributors. Over the past time, the local authorities have paid much attention to conducting practical activities and programs to pay gratitude to policy beneficiaries in the locality.

According to Mr. Tran Duong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Thai commune People’s Committee, these meaningful activities have contributed to encouraging them to overcome their difficulties to stabilize their life.

More than 300 local people in Quang Thai commune receive free health check-ups and medicines.

The program was part of the activities held by Military Hospital 268 to mark the 76th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2023). During the program, the hospital’s doctors and nurses offered free medical examinations, health counseling, and medicines to more than 300 people. Meanwhile, they instructed local people on how to prevent common diseases.

Additionally, the hospital coordinated with Viettel branch in Thua Thien Hue, Vinh Long Joint Stock Company, and Duc Cuong Company to present 60 gift packages to policy beneficiaries living in extremely difficult conditions in Quang Thai commune.

Director of Military Hospital 269 Colonel Dang Trang Huyen underlined that the program showed deep gratitude of the hospital’s medical staff towards former generations, promising that the hospital and other units would join hands with the local authorities to protect and take care of local people’s health, contributing to raising the quality of their life, tightening the military-civilian solidarity, and beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new situation.
