Officers and soldiers from Dat Mui Border Post join local authorities and residents to rebuild the house of Dao Thi Van. |
Accordingly, Dat Mui Border Post assigned 15 officers and soldiers to work with local authorities and residents to help rebuild the house of Dao Thi Van (born in 1958, residing in Dat Mui commune). The house collapsed during a severe storm at the end of August 2025.
Reportedly, Van lives alone under especially difficult conditions. She has suffered from chronic diabetes for many years, is no longer able to work, and relies on monthly support from local authorities. Her old house had seriously deteriorated and was completely destroyed by the recent disaster, leaving her with more hardships.
In response, Dat Mui Border Post promptly mobilized its forces, joining hands with local authorities and residents to rebuild a new home for her. With urgency, responsibility, and the deep bond between soldiers and the people, the officers and soldiers worked tirelessly for hours, helping Van secure a solid shelter to shield her from the sun and rain, allowing her to focus on treatment and gradually stabilize her life.
