Following the President’s saying, all Party members in border posts along the borderline of Nghe An province have implemented many economic models to help local ethnic minority groups to develop economy.
In 2014, Vi Van Phan from Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province was introduced by Lieutenant Colonel Ho Xuan Tuyen, a border guard officer holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Tam Quang commune’s Party Committee, and admitted to the Party. He is currently a member of Tung Huong village’s Party cell.

As a Party member, Phan has applied new economic development guidelines and scientific technology in production and animal husbandry, thereby developing his household economy while helping his villagers.
Phan held that thanks to being a Party member, he has had chances to learn about guidelines and policies on economic development, and then helped other people.
Sharing the contribution of Party members in economic development in the locality, Secretary of Tung Huong village’s Party cell La Quang Dao affirmed that thanks to the guideline of Tam Quang Border Post under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command, all Party members pioneered in developing economy, contributing to the development of their home village.
Another typical Party member is Moong Van Cheng from Huoi Bac village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. Huoi Bac is a remote village of Bac Ly commune and home to the Kho Mu ethnic minority people. They are in difficult living conditions. Young Party member Cheng has taken the lead in changing the economic development model by planting fruit trees, building fish ponds, and raising goats. He has become a model in economic development of the Kho Mu people in Huoi Bac village.

To effectively implement economic models to help local residents develop economy in border areas, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command has sent skillful Party members to instruct local people to develop economy and reduce poverty.
The success of the Party members in the locality paved the way for border posts along the borderline of Nghe An province to continue expanding economic models so as to help local people escape poverty and ensure security and social order in border areas.
