Flotilla 128 disseminates information for over 100 fishermen.

It was part of the program entitled “The Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to reach out to sea.”

During the activity, troops of Flotilla 129 provided more than 100 ship owners, captains and fishermen with information related to the Law on Fisheries in 2017, the Prime Minister’s Directive No.45/CT-TTg, and activities of docks and fishing villages in the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

On the occasion, Flotilla 129 handed over 100 national flags and 100 life jackets to fishermen in the locality.

According to Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Fisheries Sub-Department Vo Thi Mong Thu, the cooperation in information dissemination gave fishermen a better understanding of the State policies and laws in protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands while encouraging them to end illegal fishing activities and fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

At the event, Flotilla 129 and the local authority released more than 300kg of breeding fish to regenerate fisheries resources.
