Regardless of the bad weather conditions, nearly 50 officers and soldiers from Naval Region 5 and relevant forces exerted their utmost efforts to evacuate people’s property to safer places and transported blocks of stone to reinforce the sea dyke.

According to Chairman of the An Thoi ward People’s Council Tran Van Tien, at 10:15 on September 3, the coastline of Bai Sep area in Residential Area 5 of Quarter 5 was eroded, affecting nearly 20 houses near the coastline. Some of them collapsed.

He added that the local authorities would continue working with relevant forces to surmount natural disaster aftermath to help local people stabilize their life, and closely follow weather developments to take timely measures to protect people’s lives and property.
