During the MND’s delegation inspection session at Nghe An Provincial Department of Internal Affairs

The delegation conducted on-site inspections at Organs of the Provincial Military Command; the Defensive Area Command Region 1-Van An; a number of departments and sectors; and the People’s Committee of Lam Thanh commune.

Inspection contents included understanding of legal affairs related to defense, militia and self-defense forces, national defense and security education; K54 and AK shooting lesson 1; operational documents, Party and political work; and logistics supplies and technical services as well as defense and military resources.

According to the Provincial People’s Committee’s report, in recent times, the province’s socio-economic growth has remained stable, providing an important foundation for consolidation of defense potential. In 2024, the province’s GRDP increased by 9%; budget revenue reached VND 23,631 billion. In the first nine months of this year, the province’s growth rate reached 8.61%, ranking 11th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide and second in the North-central region. Notably, its budget revenue reached VND 19,626 billion, 111.2% of the estimate, and up 14.5% year-on-year. The province currently has 147 FDI projects with the total registered capital of USD 4.9 billion.

Concluding the inspection session, the MND delegation assessed that Nghe An province has effectively implemented defense and military affairs in 2024 and the first 10 months of 2025 with several missions completed excellently.

Gen. Dong requested the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee to continue embrace higher-level guidelines on defense and military affairs. He also asked the Military Region 4 Command to continue consolidating personnel organization of local armed forces, defensive area commands, and commune-level military command, and improve the synergy of militia and self-defense forces.
