Tho Chau: An Giang border guards rescue four fishermen in distress
PANO - By 15:00 on November 25, all four fishermen who went missing after their fishing boat sank off Tho Chau had fully recovered and returned home, as announced the Chain-of-Command of Tho Chau Border Post under the Border Guard Command of An Giang province.

Previously, on the night of November 24, fishing trawler CM-05967-TS sank and all of its four crew-members were missing.
Receiving the news, Tho Chau Border Post instructed Bai Ngu and Bai Dong border checkpoints to use signal systems to call for support from nearby fishing boats and to inform local authorities and other forces to coordinate in the rescue efforts.
The post mobilized local vessels and those from Gia Lai province anchored in the area to assist in the search.
At around 7:30 on November 25, the four fishermen were found drifting near Bai Ngu - Tho Chau area. Troops from Tho Chau Border Post and Regiment 152 under Military Region 9 promptly rescued them, brought them ashore, and provided medical care. All of the four are now in stable health condition.
Initial loss of the sunken trawler is estimated at about VND 400 million.
