Military unit provides health check-ups for the needy in Ba Ria - Vung Tau
PANO - The Military Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, teaming with Emulation Division 2 of Ho Chi Minh City’s medical sector, provided free health check-ups, medicines and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, national contributors, disadvantaged ethnic minority and religious people in the province’s Xuyen Moc district on August 24.

More than 600 people had their health checked and received health consultation. Patients with bone and joint diseases were given acupuncture and massage therapy. Apart from health examination and medicines, each visitor received a gift from the organizing panel.
The total cost of medical examination, medicine and gift presentation was more than VND 575 million.
The same day, the provincial military command, the emulation group and local authorities started the construction of a house of compassion to present to widow Nguyen Thi Khuay, whose husband was a martyr, in Bau Lam commune, Xuyen Moc district. They also visited and gave 50 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to wounded and sick soldiers taken care of at Long Dat Convalescent Center in Long Hai townlet, Long Dien district.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Cong, Deputy Political Chief of the provincial Military Command, said that the above activities were practical and significant activities of the provincial armed forces and medical sector in carrying out the emulation movement entitled “Good Mass Mobilization,” and showed deep gratitude to national contributors and shared difficulties with local, ethnic and religious people.
