The works have a total capacity of 30,000 cubic meters and are connected to three 120-meter deep wells. Each project has a water supply station, a filtering system and a water pipeline connecting wells and households in the commune. Each water supply station has a 10,000 cubic meter water tank.

The water supply systems meet the demand of more than 300 households.

Dak Ngo commune is one of the needy localities of Dak Nong province. It has more than 3,000 people, mostly from the H’mong ethnic minority group. Because of the harsh weather conditions, people in the commune usually face water shortage. Aware of the local’s difficulties, especially amid the pandemic, Army Corps 16’s chain-of-command decided to build the water supply systems to meet the demand of more than 300 households in the locality.

After six-month construction, the projects with a total investment of VND 1.5 billion were completed and handed over to local people.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Tu, Commanding Officer of Regiment 720 under Army Corps 16, before building these water supply systems, the unit had conducted surveys and numerous tests on the quality of the water sources.

Senior Colonel Tu affirmed that these systems will not only meet the daily demand for clean water of the H’mong people, but also provide water for their agriculture production. The unit will provide monthly maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the systems.

The building of these water supply systems were to mark the 76th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).
