Army Corps 16 cares for disadvantaged children
PANO – On July 9, Army Corps 16 presented 58 gifts, worth VND 323 million in total, to children of needy staff of the corps and ethnic minority children in the area where the corps is stationed.
The children receiving the gifts are those with high determination to overcome adversity in life to achieve good academic records. This is one of the activities in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the corps (December 8, 1998).
The activity also serves to share difficulties with disadvantaged people in the locality, encourage its troops, and support locals in production and building the corps into a comprehensively strong unit and tightening the military-civilian ties.
