Military school supports needy students in the 2017-2018 school year
PANO - The Border Guard Technical School 24 under the Vietnam Border Guard Command signed an agreement to implement the “Help children go to school” program in the 2017-2018 school year with schools in communes of Ba Trai, Vat Lai, Cam Linh and Thuy An of Ba Vi district, Hanoi on August 28.
In this new school year, the school will support an additional 10 disadvantaged students, bringing the total number of students supported to 31. The beneficiaries will be assisted monthly with VND 500,000 each to continue studying until their completion of high school.
Additionally, the school also presented practical gifts, including school kits, bicycles, clothes to disadvantaged students.
In this school year, the school will support children of its needy officers and troops with good academic records and coordinate closely with localities, schools and families to monitor and evaluate learning outcomes of the children and to encourage them to continue their schooling.
The “Help children go to school” program has contributed to brightening the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
