The hospital was deployed in Battalion 261A, Regiment 2, Division 8 (Tan Thuan B Hamlet, Binh Duc commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province).
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Phan Hong Phuc, Director of Military Hospital 120, asked the doctors to raise their responsibility and determination to fulfill all assigned tasks, contributing to combating the pandemic.
With a capacity of 300 beds, Field Hospital for Infectious Diseases No.6 started receiving COVID-19 patients for treatment on July 12.
* On the same day, 150 medical staff members and doctors of Military Hospital 175 rushed to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to help the city’s health sector fight the pandemic.

In the first phase, 25 doctors and 50 nurses and technicians left the hospital to join the fight against COVID-19 in the city. This force was assigned to perform tasks at a field hospital in Thu Duc city.
The fully-vaccinated force was well equipped with medical supplies and necessities to complete their missions. In addition, over the past time, the hospital has sent forces to help HCMC take samples for COVID-19 testing, screen patients and launch its vaccination campaign.
Director of Military Hospital 175 Major General Nguyen Hong Son highlighted that this is a special deployment as it is undertaking the dual targets of preventing and controlling the pandemic and receiving and treating COVID-19 patients.
